Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 launched worldwide in November 2015 and is yet to be released in the Asian markets. The tablet had received many good reviews. According to several news sources, Mi Pad 2 is expected to be released in India in March 2016 and is expected to make its approach to other Asian markets shortly after.
Its predecessor, Mi Pad retail price was reduced from its original price of ₹12,999 last month and is still available in Flipkart for only ₹10,999, indicating that Pad 2 is coming soon to India.
Both Mi Pad and Pad 2 design looks more similar to Apple’s iPad Mini. As much as it is difficult to provide the exact same high quality user experience like Apple does, Xiaomi managed to reach that level with this tablet.
The tablet has 7.9-inch IPS Retina display which gives great experience for gaming and watching videos. Moreover, the Mi Pad 2 is an extremely inexpensive tablet PC, making it a worthy adversary to the iPad Mini.
MI Pad 2 is powered with a 64-bit quad core 2.24GHz Intel Atom X5-Z8500 CPU and has 2GB RAM. The camera is same as its predecessor. It is available in 16GB and 64GB versions, and costs about ₹10,000 and ₹13,500 respectively.
