Android Notifications on Windows 10 with Microsoft Cortana

Good news to Android and PC users. According to Verge, Microsoft announced a new feature at this week’s Microsoft Build developer conference. The tech giant is preparing to release a new feature for Windows 10 which will let Android users respond to text messages or read notifications right from your desktop computer.

Microsoft Cortana app for Android will soon have the ability to communicate with Windows 10 OS and will let the users stay updated with text messages, missed calls and other notifications on your PC. Microsoft is also planning to add another feature that lets you read/dismiss notifications without checking your mobile phone. Since it will be in the cloud, you can simply connect and access mobile notifications on your Windows without synchronizing.

Users will also be able to reply to a text message from the PC which will send the command to the phone. It will definitely come in handy for many Android users. Just like Mac users, Windows users will get the same features. It also helps Microsoft better compete with Apple.

This new feature is expected to be released on this summer’s Microsoft Windows 10 Anniversary update.
