Motorola Moto G2 is reportedly being released this year by Motorola which will have (according to reliable rumor sources) even lesser price than Motorola Moto G which is the predecessor of this phone released November last year.

In this article, I have collected rumored Specs, Release Date and Price for the people looking forward to this new Android smart phone from Motorola. A good news is that it will contain the latest version of Android named Android L.

Motorola Moto G2 is rumored to see a definite upgrade in specs than its predecessor. The handset will feature a quad-core ARM V7 (VFPv4 NEON) processor and an Adreno 305 graphics.

However, according to the leaked benchmark by Wetrek, many of the Moto G2 (XT1063 model) specs will remain the same to the Moto G such as quad-core, Qualcomm 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, Adreno 305 GPU, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. Like last year’s Moto G, Moto G2 is also rumored to come with dual-sim support.

The budget smartphones are mostly low-level in picture quality and same is the case with Moto G2. It won’t be able to take good pictures no matter how much better lightening conditions will be. It hs been suggested that the Moto G2 will contain an 8-megapixel rear camera. Obviously pixel count is not enough to make camera better, therefore we should hope that Motorola will find a way to enrich the camera of Moto G2 with the best features it can offer.

Release Date

Previously Moto G was released in November 2013 and it is expected that this time too, Motorola will launch the Moto G2 during the Christmas holidays (approximately in December 2014, January 2015). The manufacturer already know how the market behaves during the last months, which means releasing Moto G2 during Christmas holidays not only removes the doubts regarding sale but will also provide Motorola the chance to cash the Holiday buying period.

Last year Moto G made its debut with a price tag of USD $170 and now since the Motorola CEO Dennis Woodside rhetorically asked, “Why can’t these devices be $50?”, it has been rumored that the upcoming Moto G2 will cost around USD $110. A device like Moto G2 around USD $110 doesn’t look bad, in fact it seems a very attractive deal.
